Whether you enjoy training or not, a form of exercise if it’s once a day or a few times a week the benefits of exercising is long lasting.
Most people think that training is solely a physical attribute, but what about the mental side of training?
Increasing fitness levels, gaining muscle, leaning out, enhancing a certain feature is usually the terminology you hear within the fitness world, but underneath all of this, people will be doing the exercise or training for a mental purpose including myself, below list a few:
- Makes you more productive throughout the day and stimulate your mind, you feel you have accomplished something already by competing a workout or a bit of exercise.
- Ever feel great after you’ve worked out hard? This is because exercise releases endorphins which have further benefits; alleviates depression, reduces stress and anxiety and even boosts your self-esteem.
- Improved sleep, whether you have an intense workout or go for a walk exercising can improve the quality of your sleep; this is because you have relaxed your mind and you’re letting your stresses and pressures out while exercising or simply you have fatigued your body.
- A significant positive to training is that it increases your self confidence. This in particular brings upon everything above. ‘If you feel good about yourself you will want to do good’ so you will be productive, your stress and anxiety won’t be as high, you’ll sleep better AND you might have a desire to keep exercise into your weekly or daily routine.
So why implement training into your daily/weekly routine? All of the reasons above explain why! Take care of your body and your mind. Even though gyms are closed during Covid-19, there’s still forms of exercise you can be doing; go for a walk or run, do your training plans by LWL, stretch, yoga. You are only limited to what you limit yourself to.
