Pre workout nutrition
What is the purpose of pre workout nutrition?
It’s purpose is to help fight fatigue and help you keep going harder and for longer.
All forms of pre workout are designed to boost energy levels and increase performance.
Pre workout nutrition not only helps you perform better but also recover better, which can have an impact on your results. This shows the importance of fuelling your body correctly.
Carbohydrates are especially important because they supply the body’s first source of energy; filling up those glycogen levels. Protein is there to help build and repair and will help prevent your body from muscle breakdown.
What Should You Eat Before A Workout?
Ideally, it is recommended to eat a snack 30-60 minutes before a workout which is a high carbohydrate, moderate protein and low fat. Or
A meal 2-3 hours before that includes high carbs and protein and low fat
.E.g. A banana for a quick snack 30 minutes before.Or Eggs on Toast / Crumpets / Baguels a few hours before.
