I.I.F.YM vs Clean Eating for fat loss.
First off all lets explain the two terms below,
“I.I.F.Y.M” (if it fits your macros) is a term related to nutrition by the way of tracking certain foods groups i.e Proteins, Fats and Carbohydrates to specific set numbers and goals.
Alot of people will use this method when entering a fat loss phase to allow for flexibility within the diet when in a calorie deficit.
“Clean Eating” is a term typically used by those who tend to wash there food before they eat, no i kid, its a term used usually by gym goers referring to using healthier food choices which are more nutritionally dense and better for the body to achieve there goals.

- People often get bored and derail ❌
- Social events tend not to be healthy ❌
- Can create an all or nothing mindset leading to guilt ❌
- Some nutritionally dense food are very high in calories ❌
Depending on the individual either one can be used for fat loss when managed correctly, although our approach at lwl is too teach clients how to track, eat healthier and still enjoy the foods they love to achieve there goals.
