Why is mobility an important aspect of your training?
Mobility is essential before any type of exercise. It prepares the body for the stress of training, helping reduce the risk of injuries and improving technique.
How does mobility training benefit your work out?
- Including mobility work into your routine will give your body a more effective warm up before exercise. During the warm up synovial fluid is carried to the joints allowing them to move freely.
- Reduced risk of injury – increasing range of motion within the joints before exercise has begun.
- Improved technique & range of motion – when joints are more flexible it allows us to perform an exercise with better form.
An adequate warm up should take a minimum of 5 minutes and shouldn’t exceed 20 minutes maximum.
